All served on our beautiful vintage china and complete the experience with a slice of our delicious home-made cake, or for the ultimate decadence, a delicious proper Devonshire Cream Tea.

If this wasn't enough, all our staff are dressed in 30s/40s style and you will be surrounded by the ambience of the era complete with music played on our gramophone all in our lovely recreated tea room.

All of us at The Vintage Tea Traveller love to chat and make guests feel welcome and special, and we make a great pot of tea too!

Being a travelling tea room, we are willing to travel anywhere and are a great idea for a wedding, christening, birthday, summer ball, festival, in fact you name it and we can come! Please check out our page about Dolly our vintage caravan who is available to come and provide a unique twist to your event.

Ever Since I Can Remember

I've been fascinated with the '30s and '40s and like nothing more than watching programs such as Foyle's War and being immersed in the era. Coupled with my mum's love of antiques which has rubbed off on me, it was only a matter of time before I put the two together and in 2012 the Vintage Tea Traveller was born!

I have personally sourced all the china that is used and with the help of my family I have also built the "set" that travels around with me, so it really has been a labour of love. It's a melange of all my skills and love of vintage and from it I think I have created a lovely, unique experience for you to be a part of and I hope you love it too!

A Completely Unique Experience

The Vintage Tea Traveller brings a completely unique experience to your event. We are passionate about recreating a bygone age of indulgence and style and look forward to being able to bring this to you.

When you book us, you will get the following….

• Hire of our vintage tea room set including all the crockery and cutlery
• Staff dressed in period dress to serve your guests
• Unlimited tea and a selection of biscuits
• A slice of home made cake per guest. Choices include Victoria sponge, coffee and walnut,
carrot cake and chocolate.
• The option to add sandwiches and a traditional Devonshire Cream Tea if required

• 1930's/40's music played on our retro wireless.

We are able to cater for approximately 100 guests for a corporate or private event.
For other events such as shows and festivals we can either be hired in or book a
pitch and charge customers accordingly. Prices start at just £7.50 per person based on
a minimum of 8 people and rise according to your requirements.  Mileage outside of
the Torbay area will be charged at 40p per mile.

I am an advocate of using local produce wherever possible and not only do I use Westcountry produced clotted cream but I have my very own Vintage Tea Traveller blend of tea blended here in the Southwest! Not only will you have the chance of drinking it when you book a party or at an event but you can also buy it too!

For Those Who Wish To Cater For Themselves

For those who wish to cater for themselves but want help recreating that vintage experience, we also offer our china and cutlery for hire. What's more you don't even have to wash it up as we do it all for you! All we ask is that you scrape off any residual food left on items and pack the china as carefully as it was delivered to you as some of it is 100 years old!

All bookings will require a 50% deposit on booking and a
refundable deposit of £200. The balance will need to be paid
